Romans 12:1
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”
Following Jesus means putting His will and others' needs ahead of our comfort. Ask what sacrifice looks like for your family, and pray for faith and unity in responding to His leading.
1 Peter 5:7
“casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”
God invites you to bring every burden to Him. Name your worries, needs, and questions, then trust them to His loving hands.
2 Thessalonians 3:3
“But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.”
Pray for God's protection over every individual and family at VLC. Ask Him to strengthen marriages, restore relationships, guard our children and young people, and create spiritual hunger throughout our church family.
1 Timothy 2:1-2
"First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.”
Pray for teachers, first responders, and all who serve our community. Ask God to give them wisdom and integrity, and use His people as instruments of truth and hope.
Psalm 139:23-24
“Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!"
Invite God to examine your heart, words, and actions. Confess anything that doesn't honor Him, receive His forgiveness, and ask Him to lead you in a life that reflects Christ.
James 1:5
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him."
Pray for the Building Team as they make important decisions and lead us through this project, asking God for wisdom, discernment, unity, endurance, and protection for them and their families.
Ephesians 3:20-21
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
The future is bright—not because we know every detail, but because God is faithful and in control. Praise Him for what He's done, thank Him for what He's doing, and trust Him for what's still to come. Ask God to use VLC to bring the saving hope of Jesus to more people for generations to come.
